Frozen yogurt in the winter sounds crazy, but go to Yogurt Planet and realize it’s the furthest thing from crazy. This place off of 45th and Lamar is a little piece of heaven on earth for yogurt lovers. My roommate and I went there tonight and it was so good!
The whole concept of this place [...]

#101 Visit the Zilker Christmas Tree & Trail of Lights
Nothing kicks off the holiday season like spinning underneath the Zilker Park Christmas Tree until you feel nauseated and fall over, and drinking a cup of hot chocolate before strolling through the Trail of Lights.
If you’re not an Austinite, you might not know what I’m talking about, but this Christmas display and celebration is well-known [...]

#87 Eat S’mores at Halcyon
There’s nothing like a good s’more. When I first moved to Austin, one of my guy friends took me out to this place downtown. I remember him telling me, “You just have to try these awesome s’mores.” Naturally, I thought he was half crazy. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of the s’more, [...]

#65 Study at a coffee shop
Being in Austin, TX there are almost a MILLION coffee shops to go to! That’s probably a stretch, but I bet I’m pretty close! My roommates and I almost don’t believe in bringing in desks to our house because it is near impossible to study at home. So what do we do when we are [...]

#50 Be Open Minded
If there’s one thing that I’ve learned from attending school at UT, it’s that diversity is a beautiful thing. Our campus and the city of Austin is overflowing with people of all different races, religions, backgrounds, ethnicities, and beliefs. And it keeps things interesting!
I even did my own little analysis once on this topic. When I was [...]

#37 SHop ‘Till You Drop
/pre>
I currently live in Austin, Texas, a city that could be easily
described as a “hippie town.” Where as the flower child skipping
down the street singling along to the music in his or her head is
a little more than I thought I bargained for, the vintage shopping
comes second to none if you know where to go. [...]

#26 Wake up in your dreams
I know I wrote a post already about “dreaming”, but this one’s different, I promise. Have you seen the movie Waking Life? You’ve sleept all this time if you haven’t. Aside from its artistic value and the fact that it was filmed by Austin’s own Richard Linklater, the thread that holds the film together is [...]
